Making an Impact
Every cat has its own unique purrsonality that you can truly experience in our free range environment. At Purrfect Day Café, our resident family of cats is free to roam around and be themselves. You’ll be able to see all the little quirks that make them so lovable, and better decide whether they’d be the right fit for your family.
Even if you’re not in a position to adopt, cuddling our kitties is the socialization they need to help make them more adoptable in the future! This concept is a “disruptor” approach to the adoption process we call cuddles, not cages.
It’s a great cause combined with a wine and brew experience. Doesn’t get more warm and fuzzy than that!

Adoption Fees and Info
All adoptable kittens and cats have an adoption fee of $120 plus tax. If you need a cardboard carrier to take your new family member home (you may certainly bring your own carrier to the cafe), you may purchase one from the PDC for an extra $5. All cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, received their flea and de-wormer treatments, and basic booster shots. They are also tested negative for both FeLV and FIV. Kitties 4 months and older have also received their rabies vaccination and have their license tags. The adoption price also a free 30 day offer of PetFirst Pet Insurance!
First, you’ll complete our adoption survey. An adoption counselor will review the survey with you to help you find a good match for your family, lifestyle and expectations. Feel free to ask any questions you’d like! Our knowledgeable staff will be happy to offer advice and answer your questions. Once you visit with our adoptable pets and select the one for you and your family, you’ll begin the adoption paperwork, as well as pay the adoption fee and any other applicable fees. Create a lasting bond between you and your new pet, then take home your new best friend!

How is my participation supporting a cause?
The cats and kittens at Purrfect Day Café are provided by our shelter partners. We are a foster facility with the goal of changing the way adoptions happen. We offer the purrfect setting for humans and cats to find their purrfect match. Your visit helps keep felines out of the traditional shelter environment and supports a model that results in a higher rate of successful adoptions.

Where does the PDC get its cats?
The cats and kittens at Purrfect Day Café are provided by PAWS of Dearborn, Cincinnati Animal Care, and Kenton County Animal Services (KCAS). We are a foster facility with the goal of changing the way adoptions happen. We offer the purrfect setting for humans and cats to find their purrfect match. KCAS has an outreach to several different counties in Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. Many of our kitties are transferred in from rural shelters that do not have the resources to support felines.
I found a cat OR need to give up my cat. May I bring it to the cafe?
We’re sorry, but we cannot accept cats at the cafe because we need to ensure that the cafe cats are not exposed to illnesses.
We recommend you contact your local animal shelter for assistance as they are county-specific.
Where does my cat lounge visitation fee go?
First of all, that money goes to keep the lights on, the heat/air going, the rent paid, and a cozy roof over our kitties’ heads. It also covers extra supplies that our shelter partners cannot provide – scratching posts, toys, fluffy beds, kitty wipes, treats, baking soda, first aid animal, etc. And finally, it helps us to pay our hard-working staff who care for our kitties and serve our guests. Kitty care is really expensive, so your money really helps us provide them with a comfy, beautiful place to stay. And remember – your adoption fee assists our shelter partners in their operations, too!
How do I adopt a cat from the cafe?
Once you have found the right fit, then the process is simple from there. You can simply complete an application with one of our Adoption Counselors and most adoptions are approved in the same day or within 24-48 hours Adoptions are available 7 days a week. Please note that kitties leave us very quickly, so we urge you NOT to fall in love via social media since a kitty may already have been adopted by the time you come to the cafe!
What veterinary care have the cats had before coming to the PDC?
All cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, received their flea and de-wormer treatments, plus basic booster shots. They are also tested negative for both Feline Leukemia. Kitties 4 months and older have also received their rabies vaccinations.
How many people are in the cat room at one time?
Typically there are 16 people in the cat lounge during each session and the number will vary with current regulations and with the number of felines, to give all equal opportunity for quality time with the kitties.
