Making an Impact

Every cat has its own unique purrsonality that you can truly experience in our free range environment. At Purrfect Day Café, our resident family of cats is free to roam around and be themselves. You’ll be able to see all the little quirks that make them so lovable, and better decide whether they’d be the right fit for your family.
Even if you’re not in a position to adopt, cuddling our kitties is the socialization they need to help make them more adoptable in the future! This concept is a “disruptor” approach to the adoption process we call cuddles, not cages.
It’s a great cause combined with a wine and brew experience. Doesn’t get more warm and fuzzy than that!

Adoption Fees and Info

All adoptable kittens and cats come to use from Kenton County Animal Services (KCAS) and have an adoption fee of $120 plus tax. If you need a cardboard carrier to take your new family member home (you may certainly bring your own carrier to the cafe), you may purchase one from the PDC for an extra $5. All cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, received their flea and de-wormer treatments, and basic booster shots. They are also tested negative for both FeLV and FIV. Kitties 4 months and older have also received their rabies vaccination and have their license tags. Kitties under 4 months come with a voucher for the rabies vaccination, which can be redeemed at KCAS. The adoption price also a free 30 day offer of PetFirst Pet Insurance!

First, you’ll complete our adoption survey. An adoption counselor will review the survey with you to help you find a good match for your family, lifestyle and expectations. Feel free to ask any questions you’d like! Our knowledgeable staff will be happy to offer advice and answer your questions. Once you visit with our adoptable pets and select the one for you and your family, you’ll begin the adoption paperwork, as well as pay the adoption fee and any other applicable fees. At this time, you’ll also learn about other Kenton County Animal Services that will help create a lasting bond between you and your new pet. And then you will take home your new best friend!

When you visit, let our staff know you are actively looking to adopt. You must be at least 18 years old, provide a photo ID, pet history, residence status, etc. All adopters must also sign a legal adoption contract. When you fall in love with a kitty, you will fill out the adoption survey. Then one of our amazing adoption supervisors will go over everything. Adoption approvals are typically finalized on-site, which means you may take home your new family member the same day. Please note that we don’t complete adoptions after the last session hour. Pick-ups may also be arranged for the following day. If we are low on kitties, you may be asked to pick up on the following day.
